Yep, the title makes quite a statement. But the game backs it up. It really is the ultimate. We were somewhat fans of Diablo and Fate, but this one just blows them away. The depth of the game is not to be believed!
You play the part of one of four roles; a Warrior, Rogue, Priest or Mage. And you can customize them as you move through the game. The best part is that the very movement is dynamic, it constantly changes due to your actions. Yep, its a living world! And with all the variables of locations, items, experience levels and the like, you may never really experience every combination that the game affords.
Many of this genre fulfill the strategy or the action associated with the role play. Few fulfill both. Depths of Peril is one of the few that not only accomplishes this fulfillment, it takes both category's to new levels. Now throw in over forty short stories, and well, you start to get the picture.
And for the blood thirsty individuals, and you know who you are, there is enough slashing and mayhem to keep you grinning for months.
The trial time frames will give you a taste for this game, but only that. To experience the many courses and enjoy the full meal, you have to pony up the cash. But it is an investment you will not regret!
